The daily income of gas to Ukraine from Europe grew by almost a quarter to 36.3 million cubic meters, including Slovak corridor – to 34.9 million cubic meters.
KYIV, 17 Jan./strong>. Ukraine increased daily volume of gas revenues from Europe by 24%, said the representative of the company “Ukrtransgaz” Maxim Belyavsky on his page in the social network Facebook.
“The daily volume of gas income from Europe rose by 24%. The previous day (16.01.2016) from Europe for the needs of Ukraine imported around 36.3 million cubic metres. In particular, Slovak corridor — $ 34.9 million cubic meters”, — said in a statement.
According to bielawski, the day before the amount of daily receipts of gas from EU countries was $ 29.3 million cubic meters.
On Friday, the company announced that Ukraine Thursday more than doubled imports of natural gas from Slovakia daily application for gas deliveries totalled 26.9 million cubic meters.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk had previously expressed the view that Kiev will be able to pass the current winter without gas purchases from Russia due to accumulation of gas reserves in underground storage facilities and the procurement of fuel in Europe.
Winter gas package involves the purchase by Naftogaz from Gazprom 2 billion cubic meters of gas on a credit of 500 million dollars attracted using the EC, this limit was chosen. “Naftogaz of Ukraine” in the period from 12 October to 25 November total transferred “Gazprom” of 542 million dollars in payment for gas, this amount corresponds to the volume in 2,383 billion cubic meters of gas. Currently Ukraine buys Russian gas.
