MOSCOW, 18 Jan./strong>. “Expocentre” and Rospatent signed on Monday an agreement on cooperation in the preparation and implementation of measures to protect intellectual property on the site of the exhibition complex in Moscow, including in the framework of the project Expocentre for counterfeit-free exhibitions”, said the correspondent.
Signatures under the document have put the General Director of “Expocentre” Sergei Bednov, and the head of Rospatent Grigory Ivlev.
“Our main task is to attract the attention of exhibitors to the protection of intellectual property. It is important to note that exhibitors are not always intentionally demonstrate counterfeit, copy someone else’s products. Often participants, especially the representatives of small and medium businesses do not realize this. However, ignorance of the law does not exempt them from liability. According to him, the agreement will allow to more effectively prevent the entry of counterfeit goods at exhibitions.

Bednov recalled that in the framework of the international forum on intellectual property for several years Expocentre has been implementing the project “Expopriority”.
