The President of Russia expressed confidence that the efforts of the two countries on construction relations will provide the basis for further steps, and the visit of the Emir of Qatar will strengthen cooperation.
MOSCOW, 18 Jan. Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with Qatari Emir Tamim hoped that applied for the construction of bilateral relations efforts will provide a good base for the following steps.
“I hope that all the efforts that we made for building our relations in recent years, will provide a good base for further steps”, — Putin said, welcoming the Emir of Qatar in the Kremlin.
The Russian President expressed confidence that the visit will further strengthen relations between the two countries.
For the first ten months of 2015 the trade turnover between Russia and Qatar declined to 24.8 million (for the year 2014 — 53,2 million). Specific efforts to increase the mutual flows of goods and services amid unfavourable market conditions will be undertaken in the framework of the bilateral Commission on economic cooperation. Between Russia and Qatar agreements on avoidance of double taxation, promotion and mutual protection of investments.
