MOSCOW, January 18. The head of the Federal tourism Agency Oleg Safonov considers Dagestan and the far East perspective from the point of view of the development of beach tourism in Russia. He said this on Monday at a meeting in the state Duma deputies of the faction “United Russia”.

“We have areas that can be very interesting from the point of view of the development of a beach holiday: Dagestan, the Caspian sea, Kaliningrad and the far East”, – said Safonov. However, currently the development of these regions have been hampered by problems of infrastructure, he said.
As recalled by the head of the Federal tourism Agency, in 2015 the domestic tourist flow in Russia increased by 18% and amounted to 50 million people.
Safonov noted that Israel, India, Bulgaria and other countries, providing beach holidays, ready to reduce prices to increase the number of tourists from Russia.

According to him, the issue of reducing the cost of permits to the tourists always raise at the talks in embassies, and in terms of “closure” for statements of Egypt and Turkey other countries ready to meet.
“You said some countries may be more expensive (in comparison with Turkey and Egypt – approx.ed.). The issue when dealing with ambassadors we always raise, and, as these countries have an interest to these tourists came, we pose the question, so they lowered the prices of their tourism services”, – said Safonov. “Because they are interested (in the growth of tourist traffic), they’d do it”, – said the head of the Federal tourism Agency.
Safonov noted that the Agency has made great work with different countries operating on the beach. They are “happy to accept our tourists,” he said. “That both Israel and Bulgaria, and Greece. This and Vietnam, if we are talking winter, Thailand, China, and Sri Lanka, and South India. So there are so many places that errors can be the alternative to stay” – said Safonov.
