IVAN, 18 Jul-RIA Novosti. The question of the resignation of the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov is the prerogative of the inhabitants of the Republic, said the Commissioner for human rights in the region Nurdi Nukhazhiev.
Earlier it was reported that Russian human rights activists and other public figures believe that the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov “should be immediately dismissed” after their public statements about non-systemic opposition. The corresponding statement was signed by dozens of civil society leaders.
Kadyrov on 12 January publicly encouraged to refer to “the representatives of the so-called nonparliamentary opposition as enemies of the people, as traitors … and to judge on all severity for their subversive activities.”
“Being the head of Chechnya Kadyrov to decide whether or not the Chechen people. And this right won at a very high price. We already have the sad experience, deciding for us, decide what is best for us, for someone to go to. Our people made their choice and decided his future and no one has the right to decide for him”, — stated in the message published on the website of the Chechen Ombudsman.
Nukhazhiyev believes that such actions are aimed at splitting the Russian society, as well as the desire to take advantage of the difficult situation in the country.
“Statements and share such issues are not solved, there are legal mechanisms for early release of the Supreme official of a subject. Similar promotions no purpose other than destabilize public-political situation in the country do not have”, — said N. Nukhazhiev.
According to the Chechen Ombudsman, the Russian human rights defenders need to establish a dialogue between the authorities and society, not to provoke the conflict between them.
