The visit of the head of the National Assembly of Ecuador to Russia pridast additional impetus to the cooperation between the two countries in economy, culture and the interaction on international platforms, said the Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Ilyas umahanov.
MOSCOW, 19 Jan. In the Federation Council are waiting for a official visit of the President of the National Assembly of Ecuador, which could take place during 2016, said Tuesday the Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Ilyas umahanov.
“Looking forward to the official visit of Mrs. President Gabriela Rivadeneira (Chapter Natassembly Ecuador — ed.) in our country and we hope that such a visit could take place in 2016. I hope that more concrete parameters of this visit, you can tell us,” — said umahanov met with the Ambassador of Ecuador in the Russian Federation, Julio Prado by Espinosa.
According to the Senator from the Russian Federation and Ecuador have a number of interesting projects that are being discussed, including in the framework of the intergovernmental Commission.
“Such a visit would give an additional impetus to our cooperation in the economy, the cultural sphere and the interaction on international platforms,” — said Umakhanov.
In turn, the Ambassador of Ecuador reported that the Chairman of Natassembly interested to visit Russia from March 21 to 25 or 28 to 30 March. The diplomat handed the Senator an official letter from the legislature of Ecuador to the Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko with a proposal to visit the designated date.
“We could discuss questions of legislation and of our cooperation, as well as issues on environment, oil and any other projects that you see fit,” he said.
