“First of all, the idea is to expand the list of participants of the payment system “World”, opening access to foreign banks and payment systems, and that the current legislation is not specified,” – said one of them. According to the information on the website of the “World”, now there are 39 banks participating, among them no foreign no. According to interlocutors of the edition, amendments are needed to the card “the World” could be issued and adopted in its network not only Russian but also foreign banks.
Other upcoming amendment – granting foreign banks the right to obtain the status of settlement banks of the “World” adds another source.
