MOSCOW, January 19. The number of banks connected to the Service for transfer of financial messages (SPFS) – the Russian analogue of the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (SWIFT), increased from January 2015 to January 2016, from 91 to 330 banks. Russian analogue of the system of transmission of financial messages in SWIFT format (for domestic operations) started in operation in December 2014, September 2015, the head of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina announced to the high degree of system availability.
