MOSCOW, 19 Jan. Recent criticism of Chechen authorities to address non-systemic opposition, some politicians associated with the forthcoming elections in the state Duma. At the same time, in their opinion, the statements of Ramzan Kadyrov, who called to treat the opposition “as traitors”, though unfounded, but should be more restrained, because the President has real political power.
Kadyrov said earlier that non-systemic opposition is trying to cash in on the difficult economic situation of Russia. In his opinion, such people must be treated as “traitors” and to judge “for their subversive activities.” He also “threatened”, “who does harm to Russia”, he said, they “are worthy of the chamber and experienced doctors” in psychiatric hospitals of the Republic. Later, the head of the Parliament of the Chechen Republic Magomed Daudov also made accusations against opposition members and threatened them with the dog Kadyrov.
Criticism of these statements was made by a number of politicians and public figures, including the Federal Commissioner for human rights Ella Pamfilova. The first Deputy head of the defense Committee of the Federation Council Frants Klintsevich, a few years heading the Chechen branch of United Russia, said that statements by Daudova on the opposition that are clearly politically correct, but do not extend beyond the present, which does not recognize half-tones of the Chechen mentality, needs time to such a worldview has changed.
A pre-election move?
Political scientist, member of the expert Council for socio-economic and political studies of ISAPI Alexei Zudin links the worsening of the themes that were raised during the “active exchange” between the Chechen leadership and non-systemic opposition, with the upcoming elections to the state Duma.

Unfounded, but dangerous statements
Head of the Center for economic and political reform Nikolay Mironov believes that the head of region has no powers of law enforcement agencies who can provide such assessments, supported them, however, substantial evidence.
“This is a weighty accusation, they need to prove as it is done in the framework of the investigation. Here it’s just allegations that are political in nature and society are perceived clearly as a threat”, — the expert believes.
In this case, Mironov added, it’s one thing when such things are said, for example, “the man with the reputation of a talker or a political demagogue, then it is not perceived”.
“But it is from the mouth Kadyrov this sounds daunting, it stands for a certain political force, people are just afraid of violence.
