Gorbachev has previously stated that the situation in the Russian economy very hard. The situation is difficult, but it is favorable to create a new basis of economy, the head of the economic Committee of the state Duma Anatoly Aksakov
MOSCOW, 20 Jan. The head of the economic Committee of the state Duma Anatoly Aksakov (CP) agreed with the Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev that Russia needs a program of recovery from the crisis, but opposed the precarious situation of the late 1980s, the current stability and gave an optimistic forecast of the future of the country.
Gorbachev said Tuesday that the current situation in the Russian economy are very heavy and need a program of recovery from the crisis and the mobilization of society. Gorbachev in his time made efforts to restructure the Soviet economy amid falling oil prices from more than 110 to less than $ 25 per barrel in the 1980s.
“The situation is really difficult, but actually it is quite stable and durable, so there’s no feeling like in the early 90’s, when Gorbachev was in charge, that everything’s breaking down, spilling all unmanaged”, — said Aksakov.
“Yes, indeed, desired program, the desired action. The situation is now favorable for such action, to create a new basis of economy — Russian, not Soviet. Now it’s time — and thanks to the devaluation of the ruble and the sanctions. Just need now to prepare the program and carefully, but at the same time decisively and quickly to begin to implement”, — said the head of the Duma Committee.
The Deputy is sure that after three to five years, the image of Russia will change: “We will be independent in economic terms, the country and, consequently, more stable and stronger ruble, because we not only from oil will depend”.
