DAVOS, 22 Jan. Ex-Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin advises people to buy BFL and believes that it’s a reliable tool, he said in an interview.
“Yes, why not? It will be favorable rates,” Kudrin said, answering the question of whether the government should hold in the population under current conditions.
Responding to a question, advised he would the public to buy these bonds, the ex-Minister added: “Yes, it is a very reliable tool.”
In September, the Finance Ministry said that considering the issue of special debt instrument for the population. The Agency believes that it should be a tool with a special order of placement and circulation, given that citizens are not professional participants of the financial markets, nor qualified investors. However, individuals can purchase OFZ bonds on the organized market not directly, but through government licensed professional participants of securities market.
In October, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said that the Finance Ministry is not planning large amounts of the placement of OFZ for the population, they in total will not exceed 30 billion rubles in 2016.
