As the President noted, even in the case of increasing export duties producers can hold on the domestic market is still the high price, if they do not have direct obligations to curb rising prices. “A load on them (in case of increase of export duties) will increase. But they must understand that if they do not take into account the specifics of the day, responsibility before the country and the economy, and agriculture, this tool (the new taxes) the state has,” said Putin.
The Ministry of agriculture and Ministry of industry are actively working with fertilizer companies to limit the price increase, said the head of state.
“If on nitrate prices are still holding, they are not much increased, for other types of fertilizers are growing at a remarkable pace. I very much hope that in the near future, and it’s the middle of January, the relevant agencies with the manufacturers to agree and come to these decisions”, – said Putin.
