MOSCOW, January 25. Russian wine in this year, the average price will rise by 15-20% due to currency fluctuations, said Corr. the President of the Union of winegrowers and winemakers of Russia Leonid Popovich
“On average, the price will increase by 15-20% compared with last year. The rise will happen gradually, in the course of the year. One of the factors that will increase the cost of imported components that are used by our manufacturers,” – said Popov.

According to him, the Russian wine-makers plan to increase wine production this year by 3-5% and in 2015. “But it will be meaningless, as the area of vineyards will remain the same as last year. Such indicators will try to achieve at the expense of existing production technologies, which allow to do it,” – said the Agency interlocutor.
According to the Union of winegrowers and winemakers of Russia, in Russia last year produced an estimated 70 million liters of wine. According to experts, in 2013, there is an annual increase in sales volume of wine in Russia by about 7%, and by 2019 it should reach 1.8 billion litres. Winemakers say that prospects of development of Russian market of wine is very optimistic thanks to the introduction of new technologies in the Russian Breweries. As a result, the quality of Russian wine is improved and it begins to compete with European counterparts.
According to Popov, the Russian exclusive wines are not cheap and the quality is not inferior to the European. “For example, exclusive wines of the Crimea seriously enough aged, their series of limited release. Therefore, the cost can reach several tens thousand roubles, – said the Agency interlocutor. – Have a budget and Crimean wines, which can cost up to 300 rubles per bottle. Speculative component in the price of the Crimean wines is not” – said Popov.
The cost of the seedlings have adjusted the course
This year we will continue to implement the state program on development of agriculture of the Russian Federation, calculated till 2020. “On the job, we should plant this year 9 thousand hectares of vineyards. This task is hardly feasible because of the course. Most likely, this year will be broken around 6 thousand hectares of vineyards that are on the same level as last year. To subsidize the planting of vineyards this year, according to the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation, will allocate 2,4 billion roubles. We very much hope that the money will get it,” Popovich said.

According to him, the vineyards this year mass will be planted traditionally in the Krasnodar territory, Dagestan and Crimea. The President of the Union of winegrowers and winemakers of the Russian Federation noted that these regions are close to each other as the number of collected grapes and vineyards. “We expect that on average in each of the three wine-growing regions of the Russian Federation this year will be planted on 2 thousand hectares of vineyards,” – said the Agency interlocutor.
According to him, planting material grape growers expect to buy this year in France, Italy and Slovakia. The cost of one seedling is €1,5-2, at the level of 2015, according to Popovich. However, because of currency fluctuations, rose for our growers who change rubles on a new course, to buy planting material in Europe.
“The cost of seedlings will increase proportionally. How the dollar will rise in price, so for our growers will increase the cost of seedlings,” explained Popovich.
