According to him, the court of Kamchatka fishing enterprises, in particular, brought ashore 192 thousand tons of salmon is 60 thousand tons more than in Putina 2014. Also increased catches of herring and Pollock.

“Kamchatka remains a leader in the production of water bio-resources not only in the far East, but also in the Russian Federation as a whole. Moreover, our region is leading in terms of volumes of production of fish products. Last year, the Kamchatka enterprises have produced more than 850 thousand tons of production, which, pursuant to the instructions of the government and the President of the Russian Federation, the bulk is aimed at the domestic market,” — said the Deputy Chairman of the regional government, the Minister of fisheries Vladimir Galitsin.

The regional authorities also continue to work on the creation of a retail trade network, where fish can be purchased at producer prices.

“Today the project of the government of Kamchatskiy Krai and the group of companies “41 regions” in the region opened 12 outlets. We plan that this year will be open around 4 or 5 booths, three of them — in airport,” added Galitsin.

Earlier the Governor of Kamchatskiy Krai Vladimir Ilyukhin said that the development of fisheries requires new vessel designs, which should be modern, energy efficient and affordable. In addition, it is necessary to develop a classification of types of vessels that meet the requirements of companies from Kamchatsky Krai and other fishing regions, says Ilyukhin.
