The question of the elimination of the Ministry of transport is not on the agenda, according to the Secretariat of the first Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov. According to the interlocutor of Agency, evidence that Shuvalov supported the elimination of the office were untrue.
MOSCOW, 27 Jan. The elimination of the Ministry of transport of the Russian Federation and the creation on its base of the Corporation at meetings with first Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov was never discussed, and it is not on the agenda, said at the Secretariat.
“The fact that Shuvalov supported the elimination of the Ministry of transport and the creation on its basis of the state Corporation, isn’t true and is pure fiction. This issue was not discussed with first Deputy Prime Minister and it is not necessary in the agenda of its meetings,” — said the representative of the Secretariat Shuvalov.
Answering the question whether there is such an idea as a whole, the Agency’s interlocutor said that he had not heard about this proposal.
On Wednesday the newspaper “Izvestia” wrote that the Ministry of transport can convert to the Ministry of civil aviation and the state Corporation “Transport infrastructure of the Russian Federation”. Citing a source close to the government, the publication argued that such a project of reform supported Shuvalov.
