Moscow. January 27. The Federal reserve system (FRS) the USA following the meeting January 26-27, left interest rates on Federal loan funds (federal funds rate) target range of 0.25-0.50% per annum, said in a communique on the results of the January meeting of the Federal open market Committee (FOMC).
The decision was unanimous and in line with the expectations of economists and market participants.
However, the fed gave a signal of slower increases in interest rates further than previously planned. In December, the Central bankers have, on average, saw an opportunity four increases in the rates in 2016, each time by 25 basis points.
Overall assessment of the economic situation in the U.S. worsened, the fed acknowledges the weakening of activity, despite the creation of new jobs, and expects to maintain low inflation.
