Sergei Naryshkin was elected to the state Duma from Leningrad region, from December 2011 he serves as Chairman of the lower house of the Russian Parliament.
MOSCOW, 30 APR –. State Duma speaker Sergei Naryshkin said he intends to participate in elections of deputies of the lower house of the Russian Parliament of the seventh convocation, which will be held in September 2016.
Earlier it was already reported that it plans to participate in parliamentary elections.
Leading to the question of the program “Vesti on Saturday” on channel “Russia 1” Sergei Brilev about whether he’s decided he will go to new elections of deputies of the state Duma, Naryshkin said, “Yes, Yes, Yes.”
Naryshkin presides in the lower house of Parliament since December 2011. The speaker was elected from the Leningrad region. Before this Naryshkin held a post of the head of the presidential administration of the Russian Federation.
