MAKHACHKALA, February 1. /Corr. Nizami Hacibalayev/. In Syria and Iraq are fighting more than 800 people from Dagestan, said the head of the region Ramazan Abdulatipov.

“According to special bodies in Syria and Iraq the terrorists are fighting more than 800 people from Dagestan,” said he, speaking with a message to the people’s Assembly of the Republic.

“Our important task today is to resolutely oppose the participation of citizens in the international terrorist organizations in the Middle East. The position of the Dagestanis against these renegades is clear: they are traitors and enemies of the homeland – Dagestan, Russia”, – said Abdulatipov.

In a conspicuous place

The head of Dagestan also urged heads of cities and districts of the Republic to post the names of the terrorists and their relatives in a prominent place. “We must not lose vigilance. The heads of districts and cities, the imams of mosques should know everyone who is fighting on the side of terrorists against Dagestan, posting their names and the names of their relatives in a conspicuous place, to take account of relatives and friends”, – said Abdulatipov, in his annual address to the Parliament of the Republic.

The head of Dagestan also said that it is necessary to increase the efficiency of antiterrorist commissions of regions and cities.

“Installing all: the level, quality and effectiveness of the organization in the fight against terrorism must be improved. Our common motto: “All for the fight against terrorism!” No one has the right to stand aside, to observe and, especially, to flirt, because we are talking about the threats to the security of the state and citizens, each of us, our children and grandchildren”, – said Abdulatipov.

“ISLAMIC STATE”

“Islamic state” (ISIS) – an Islamist terrorist organization operating inside Iraq and Syria. Established on 15 October 2006 by the merger of 11 radical Sunni groups. The core group forming the militants, who fought with American troops during their stay in Iraq and with the forces of the government of Bashar al-Assad in Syria.
