The Minister of oil and mining of Venezuela, Eulogio del Pino on Thursday will begin the tour in three main oil-producing Gulf countries — Qatar, the Sultanate of Oman and Saudi Arabia, to “reach consensus on a stabilization of the oil market,” said Venezuela’s Ambassador in Saudi Arabia Joseba Achutegui (La Fortaleza Achutegui).
As the Ambassador said, on Thursday in Doha is scheduled to meet del Pino with the Minister of energy and industry of Qatar Mohammed bin Saleh al Sada, who also serves as President of OPEC. After talks in Qatar, he will fly to Oman, where he will meet with Minister of oil and gas of Oman Mohammed bin Hamad al-Rumhi.
According to Achutegui, the arrival of del Pino in Saudi Arabia, which will be the last item on his tour to the countries-major oil producers in the world, where he will meet with the Minister of petroleum and mineral resources Saudi Arabia Ali al-Naimi, scheduled for Sunday.
“The main purpose of his trip was to seek consensus among the main participants in the energy market to find a strategy to stabilize the oil market and return oil prices to a more reasonable and fair that, in the interests not only of producers and consumers of hydrocarbons, but also of the whole planet and future generations”, — said the head of the Venezuelan diplomatic mission in Riyadh.
