Following talks between Moscow and Warsaw for road transport will be held in Russia

Russia and Poland have agreed on the volume of quotas on road transport for the current year, which as of 1 February autosabina cargo between the two countries was terminated. Until 15 February, the carriers of both countries can return to the country of registration of the carrier under the old permits.

As previously reported by the Association of international road carriers (ASMAP), the Polish party is dissatisfied with the adoption of the Russian Federation legislative and normative acts, regulating the control over the implementation on the territory of the Russian international road haulage by foreign vehicles, including transport of goods from third countries. It has been several rounds of talks, the latest in Warsaw on 3 February, however, the solution has not been found.

“When discussing contingent permits the Polish side demanded that Russia almost threefold increase in the volume of quotas granted by the Russian party to perform transport operations in third countries. It is important to emphasize that the Russian side went to meet the Polish side, clarifying and explaining the requirements of the new legislation of the Russian Federation regarding control over the licensing system of road transport. The parties had planned to update the intergovernmental agreement on road transport between Russia and Poland from 1996 to six months”, – stated in the message of Ministry of transport of the Russian Federation.

The next round of negotiations between countries to be held in the near future on the territory of Russia, have added in the Ministry.
