MOSCOW, February 10. Russia has perfectly fulfilled its commitments on preparing inter-Syrian negotiations in Geneva, and accuse Moscow of disrupting the process completely wrong. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova on the TV channel “Russia 24”.
“Ended what ended”
“Our American colleagues are absolutely wrong, even accusing us of disrupting the Geneva talks…,’ she said. In Geneva were the first to arrive and the opposition and representatives of official authorities, worked with Russia. We performed the work perfectly”.

Zakharov stressed that dialogue Russia has done everything that depended on it.
“Without preconditions, without blackmail, people came to engage in constructive work,” she added.
“What we’ve seen from other opposition groups, “Riyadh”, no need to comment – continued Zakharova. – We saw what a tremendous effort the United States tried to drive them to Geneva, using almost manual control. But there were tantrums, there was an endless standing in position and ended with what ended”.
The talks in Geneva
The inter-Syrian negotiations on the conflict settlement in the country were due to start in Geneva in early February. However, a few days later they were moved to the end of the month.
UN special envoy on Syria Staffan de Mistura expressed hope that contacts between the parties in the Syrian conflict resume in Geneva on 25 February.
“A common understanding”
Zakharova also said that Russia and the United States came to a common understanding of the ultimate goals in Syria, but it is necessary to develop practical cooperation.

Zakharova stressed that Russia stands for the convergence not only of approaches, but also practical action. “We can and we must interact as closely as is ready for US, and we are ready for this brand, in the fight against terrorism.
