Kosachev: the government Yatsenyuk will not survive the first meeting of the autumn session of Parliament

MOSCOW, February 16. Save Arseniy Yatsenyuk the post of Prime Minister of Ukraine does not imply confirmation of credibility on the part of Parliament, the current Cabinet is likely to be dismissed at the first meeting of the autumn session of the Verkhovna Rada. This opinion was expressed to journalists by the Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on international Affairs Konstantin Kosachev, commenting on the results of voting in the Ukrainian Parliament on the issue of vote of no confidence in the government.

“This vote does not mean the confirmation of the credibility of Yatsenyuk, on the contrary,” said the Senator. In his opinion, the Ukrainian Prime Minister now in a political sense “downed pilot”, the government will be “a permanent object of attacks and pressure from all parties, without exception and therefore is unlikely to survive the first session of the next parliamentary session, when the question of the resignation of the Cabinet can be put again”.

Two contradictory voting – “failure for Yatseniuk to evaluate the work of the government and winning for him the confidence”, the MP tends to explain behind-the-scenes intrigue around the post of Prime Minister. According to Kosachev, it is possible, “at the last moment, having problems with the successor (or the successor) Yatsenyuk, nominating the President (Peter) Poroshenko any unacceptable conditions” or “banal corruption among the deputies, traded their support for the government’s other tangible and intangible benefits”.

“A strange outcome of the discussions on the fate of the government Yatsenyuk once again confirms the absurdity and illogicality of the Ukrainian policy”, – said Kosachev. “Still have to analyze the vote on the factions, but it is clear that “ranged along the line of the party” deputies from all factions,” he said.

On Tuesday the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine recognized the work of the Cabinet of Ministers unsatisfactory, however, in order to send the government of Arseniy Yatsenyuk, the vote is not enough – the proposal to declare him a vote of no confidence supported only 194 deputies instead of the required 226. Under current rules, MPs can’t return to the consideration of the trust’s office at the same session on which it has already been discussed. This means that the government will continue its work until September 2, current year low, when does the fall session.
