“Proposal by Iran to freeze production levels of oil is illogical. At a time when the country was under sanctions, other States have considerably increased the production volumes, which caused reduction in oil prices,” said Asali.
Yesterday the Iranian oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh also said that Iran will not renounce its quota on the international oil market.
Earlier it was reported that the Minister of energy Alexander Novak on February 16 met with representatives of OPEC countries. Following the meeting it became known that Russia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Venezuela are willing to freeze oil production at the level of January 2016.
