Moscow. 16 February. Energy Minister Alexander Novak in Doha holds talks with Minister of oil of Saudi Arabia and other members of OPEC, Bloomberg reported citing the Ministry of energy of Qatar.
According to Bloomberg, Russia and Saudi Arabia discuss cooperation in oil-producing countries and non-OPEC, to maintain the world oil market.
The representative of the Ministry of energy confirmed that Novak meets with counterparts from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Venezuela. However, the themes of these meetings, he has not commented.
Novak previously reported that in the framework of OPEC discussed the possibility of reducing the production of oil producing countries by about 5% for increase in oil prices. He noted that Russia is ready to discuss the advisability of reducing oil production, however, no concrete solutions and proposals on this subject is not prepared. Any negotiations on the reduction of oil production is only possible if consensus is reached with all oil producing countries, stressed the Russian Minister.
