Putin satisfied with the quality of relations with Hungary


NOVO-Ogaryovo, February 17. Russian President Vladimir Putin is satisfied with the quality of relations with Hungary, although it recognized the decline in trade and economic relations.

“We are satisfied, despite the problems and the decline in trade, we are satisfied with the nature of our relations”, – said the head of state at a meeting with Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban.

Putin called Hungary “old and reliable partner”. “We hope very much that the plans we talked about a year ago, during my visit to Hungary will move forward and be implemented”, – said the Russian leader.

Orbán: Hungary interested in normalization of relations between Russia and Europe

In turn, Prime Minister of Hungary stressed that Budapest “will continue to strive to ensure that relations between the Russian and Hungarian people were the most friendly”.

“On behalf of the Hungarian people, I would like to convey my best wishes to you and the Russian people and to thank for efforts that despite the challenging times, you take in the interests of the Russian-Hungarian friendship,” said Orban.

He thanked Putin for the opportunity to meet, during which you can assess the state of bilateral relations.

In this case, Orban said that his country is interested in normalization of relations between Russia and Europe.

“We are all interested in the relationship between Russia and Europe is normalized, it is in Hungary’s interests,” he said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
