MINSK, 25 February. Integration project of the Union state is developing successfully, and the current work in the framework of the meeting of the Supreme state Council will become a good impetus for the development of the partnership between the two countries.

Such opinion the President of Russia Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko before a meeting of the GHS.
“We know the world in which we live, what is happening in the global economy, in our countries; there are a lot of issues that demand our attention, and at the highest level,” Putin said.
“But I’d also like to note that all began 20 years ago, referring to the start of construction of the Union state, it’s not lost, but rather this integration project is developing, is developing successfully,” – said the Russian President.
He added that the agreements with Russia and Belarus within the Union state become an example of development of integration processes on post-Soviet space.
Putin Lukashenko expressed special gratitude for the fact that he participated in the integration process since its inception. “We now have the opportunity to take the next steps in the development of our special relationship. I am positive that our work will be a good push to continue this very positive and necessary for our countries and peoples partnership,” Putin said.

Speaking about the forthcoming Supreme state Council meeting, Lukashenka noted that “we have carefully all the questions, studied them.”
“Today’s Supreme state Council meeting is the peak, we will promptly carry out, as all issues very seriously worked out today”, – Lukashenka said.
In the meeting between the two leaders, which is at this moment, in particular, to be attended by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Minister of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Break.
