The estimated damage from actions of the former Director of the Bank of Moscow Andrei Borodin and his former Deputy Dmitry Akulinin have already exceeded 150 billion rubles, reports “Kommersant” with reference to informed sources.
According to interlocutors of the edition, the amount of damage is made up of illegal loans including so-called special borrowers from offshore, which left tens of billions of rubles.
According to “Kommersant”, the investigation plans to focus on Borodino and Akulinin after will enter into force on the day before the court handed down the sentence to former head of the company “Premier estate” Svetlana Timonino, as well as our previous decisions in respect of a senior trader Directorate of currency transactions of Bank of Moscow of Konstantin Salnikova and the head of Department of support of banking operations Alla Averina, found guilty of embezzlement of 1.2 billion rubles.
Borodin and Akulinin can be convicted in absentia (the proof of their guilt will serve these sentences), and the file sent to the UK (where presumably there are former heads of Bank of Moscow) for the execution of the court decision, according to sources “Kommersant”.

Two weeks ago, Meshchansky court in Moscow sentenced two former employees of the Bank of Moscow — Konstantin Salnikova and Alla Averin — to 4,5 and 4 years of imprisonment respectively after being convicted of embezzlement of Bank funds amounting to more than 1 billion rubles in the structure of the criminal group headed by the former head of the credit organization Andrey Borodin.
Seals was convicted of embezzling funds of the Bank of Moscow, Averina being accomplice in embezzlement. The convicts were taken into custody in the courtroom.
