MOSCOW, March 2. The leader of United Russia, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will attend the training workshops for participants in the primary elections of the party for the selection of candidates for the Duma elections (primaries). This was confirmed by the Secretary of the General Council of United Russia Sergey Neverov, at the meeting of the Federal organizing Committee on carrying out of primary elections.

“Regional committees necessary to conduct a survey of registered participants and those who submit papers about their willingness to participate in the seminar”, – said Neverov, addressing the representatives of regional organizing committees.
“Participation in the seminar will be the Chairman of our party, the Chairman of the government Dmitry Medvedev”, – he reminded.
“We plan to establish a representative platform with qualified speakers and experts to provide quality training”, – said Neverov.
As explained earlier Neverov, after the last 5-6 February of the first phase of the pre-election Congress of the party planned “educational forum, in particular, workshops on public speaking skills” for those who decided to participate in the primaries. At the end of December last year, the Secretary of the General Council of the party has informed that Medvedev intends to speak before the participants of the forum “Candidate” for nominees in the primaries.

The nomination for the primaries started in the “United Russia” on 15 February. Till April 15, must have completed the registration process of participants. In the list of necessary documents for registration of the party primaries include: application, copy of passport, copy of certificate of education, certificate of employment, certificate of no criminal record, photographs. Within five days after delivery of the documents, the regional Committee shall render a decision on registration or refusal to register. If the potential party is denied registration, he has five days to appeal to the Federal organizing Committee.
The primaries will be held across the country on may 22. They will be secret and rating. This means that each voter can vote for one candidate, but for multiple in each list. The party leadership hopes that this will help to identify opinion leaders. Directly on the eve of the primaries, the candidates will meet with voters and other campaign events and participation in them is mandatory. For the preliminary voting was created by the Federal organizing Committee, as well as regional 85, which included the head of the regional Executive Committee of “United Russia”. About a third of their members – representatives of public associations, mass media, leaders of public opinion.
