HAMA /Syria/, 9 March. Representatives of about 80% of the territory of the Syrian province of Hama has joined negotiations on a truce, said the official representative of the Russian centre for reconciliation of the warring parties in Syria.

According to him, after long negotiations in the Palace of culture of the city of Hama to discuss the terms of the ceasefire gathered representatives of around 80 towns of the province.
“For each district and settlement is completely individual approaches, therefore, gathered here today are representatives of some 80 settlements, to personally discuss the terms of the armistice,” – said the representative of the centre.
In addition, the meeting was attended by representatives of the official authorities and armed forces, people’s militia, the clergy and the opposition.
According to open sources, the area of the province of Hama is more than 10 thousand square kilometers, making it seventh in size of the province of Syria. The total area of this country is about 185 thousand sq. km.
The ceasefire in Syria is in effect from 27 February. On Tuesday evening the Russian center for reconciliation hosted at the airbase Hamim, reported that the number of armed groups that have declared their commitment to the implementation and acceptance of the terms of cessation of hostilities reached 37. The truce does not apply to the group “Islamic state” and “dzhebhat EN-nusra” (both organizations are banned in Russia), as well as other formation deemed terrorist by the UN Security Council.
