Gazprom discussed with the EU Commissioner projects of gas supplies to Europe


Realization of supplies of Russian gas to Europe has become one of the key topics of the informal meeting of the Deputy Chairman of the management Board of “Gazprom” Alexander Medvedev and the European Commissioner for energy and climate Miguel arias Cañete, but not the only one. BRUSSELS, 10 Mar. Deputy Chairman of “Gazprom” Alexander Medvedev and the European Commissioner for energy and climate Miguel arias Cañete discussed Thursday at a meeting in Brussels of the antitrust investigation the European Commission in the gas holding and the projects of Russian gas supplies to Europe.

“A meeting was held with Mr Cañete, who is responsible for the development of the gas market in Europe. We exchanged views about current Affairs: antitrust investigation and the prospects for implementation of our projects on gas supplies to Europe. We made contact with Cañete and his team agreed to continue the exchange of information,” Medvedev told journalists following the talks.

As it became known, the meeting of Chairman of “Gazprom” with European Commissioner Cañete was of an informal nature.
