MOSCOW, March 10. The settlement of the Syrian crisis and the problem of refugees in the EU have become topics of a telephone conversation of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras. According to the press service of the Kremlin.

During the exchange of views on topical issues of bilateral cooperation the parties confirmed mutual interest in strengthening mutually beneficial ties in various fields, especially in trade, investment and energy spheres. “Noted, what’s next in 2016 the event in the framework of the Year of Russia in Greece and Year of Greece in Russia and the celebration of the 1000th anniversary of the presence of Russian monasticism on mount Athos will open new opportunities for rapprochement between peoples of the two countries”, – reported in the Kremlin.
