The constructive cooperation of the Russian and American sides strengthens the hope that the ceasefire in Syria will continue, he said.
“We have with the Americans and the military and diplomatic cooperation (to Syria) now at a good level, – stated the diplomat. – Maintained daily working relationship, we discuss everything in a calm, businesslike manner, and this gives grounds for hopes that the cessation of hostilities that Russia and the U.S. initiated, will continue to be supported”.
The resignation of Assad
To capture Borodavkin, radical Syrian opposition will have to abandon the requirement of immediate resignation of the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
“We cannot be indifferent to the fact that the radical opposition continues to put forward pre-conditions, demands the immediate resignation of Assad and, in fact, this is her program,” the diplomat said.
“The fact that such unrealistic requirements may not be implemented, demonstrates that these radical oppositionists are simply not ready to negotiate and reach an agreement,” says the Borodavkin.
