Russian business has become “more responsible and Mature,” said the President of Russia Vladimir Putin at the Congress of entrepreneurs, noting the growing number of companies that met their obligations to society.
“Russian business has become more responsible and Mature, a growing number of domestic companies that operate on a transparent and civilized rules, fulfill your obligations to government, to society, and most importantly a commitment — regularly pay taxes,” he said (quoted by “RIA Novosti”). According to the head of state, entrepreneurs and tax administration “as a whole were able to build normal business interactions based on trust and cooperation.”
Putin noted that “work openly” was “not simply profitable, and the reputation of the obedient taxpayer and the entrepreneur begins to serve as proof of the attractiveness and stability of the structure or of the company” (quoted by TASS).
He noted that the authorities are constantly thinking of how to reduce the fiscal burden, although this is difficult to achieve. “Despite the known limitations of the budget, and they are always, at all times there are budgetary constraints, and in the period of high oil prices, and in the period of low oil prices is inevitable. But I want you to know that we are constantly thinking of how to reduce the fiscal burden. It’s true, it’s not a joke,” he said. He added that “to achieve this difficult decision,” however, “however, we [the government] are constantly talking about this”.
At the same time the head of state noted that to reduce the fiscal burden “must first resolve the issue of administrative burden, reduction in the key rate” (quoted by “Interfax”).
In addition, Putin said that he considers optimal acceptance by the state Duma before the end of the spring session, amendments to the criminal and Criminal procedural codes related articles, related to business activities. “It would be best if the deputies of the state Duma have made the necessary amendments in criminal and criminal procedure legislation before the end of spring session”, — said the President.
He noted that the representatives of the relevant agencies have been instructed to study these issues, including with members of Parliament.
Earlier, the Kremlin announced that at the Congress of entrepreneurs in Moscow Putin will discuss with entrepreneurs the taxation and financial systems, investment climate, labor market, social investment, elimination of administrative barriers and others.
In the framework of the Congress will be a closed meeting with the President. On it, in particular, may be affected by the theme of interaction between security officers and business: on March 23, Putin held the first meeting of a specially created in the Kremlin group that deals with this issue. Two people said that the Kremlin “reserves” the decision whether or not to discuss questions of work of the unit in a closed or open part of the Congress.
