Ukrainian company revised downwards the amount of the claim to “Gazprom” for the lost revenue from international transit. The amount of claim to sales remained the same.
MOSCOW, 28 Mar. “Naftogaz of Ukraine” on the financial statement for 2015 has updated the transit amount of the claim submitted to Gazprom in the Stockholm arbitration: provide a figure to 8.2 billion instead of the previously announced $ 11.7 billion.
“The company requires compensation for lost revenue from international gas transit in the amount of 8.2 billion dollars”, — stated in the report of “Naftogaz” over the last year. In the report for the first nine months with the same wording indicated the amount of 11.7 billion dollars.
The amount of the claim of “Naftogaz” to “Gazprom” under the contract of purchase and sale of gas remains around $ 14 billion.
Comment of the Ukrainian company about the change of amount of transit until the claim could not be obtained.
The total amount of claims “Gazprom” to “Naftogaz” in the latest report is estimated at 31.8 billion dollars. This corresponds to the latest assessment of Gazprom itself.
“Gazprom” and “Naftogaz” have legal proceedings in the Stockholm arbitration court in June 2014 to the 2009 contract for the supply of Russian natural gas to Ukraine and gas transit through its territory. Actions “Gazprom” in the framework of the first contract include claims for unpaid delivered gas to Ukraine, with the remaining amount accounted for the fines for arrears of gas. Under the claim of “Naftogaz” for the transit of Gazprom filed a counter claim for payment of unauthorized settled on the territory of Ukraine volumes of gas.
