The media learned about the Italian Enel plans to exit the Russian energy sector


The largest Italian utility group Enel is considering the possibility of exit from the Russian energy, writes “Kommersant” citing a source in the industry.

The company offers to buy the power plant investors in regions in the Central European part of Russia, Northern Caucasus and the Urals. While “Enel Russia” carries out marketing: prompts for generating companies for potential interest and price expectations, said the interlocutor of the edition.

Another source of the newspaper said that “Enel Russia” is looking for buyers for the assets of the Ural — Sredneuralskaya and Reftinskaya GRES, which account for more than half its capacity of 5.45 from GW to 9.5 GW.

Enel has no plans to sell all its stations in Russia and to leave the market, told “Kommersant” in the company. A representative of Enel has been informed that they are now considering potential sales of Reftinskaya GRES, but no decision has been made.
