The Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin announced the release of 13 Ukrainian doctors caught earlier in Libya in the hands of militants of the “Islamic state” (ISIS, prohibited in Russia).
“The good news: 13 of the medics who had been held by ISIL, released and transported in the Libyan town of RAS lanuf. Kept the connection”, — wrote Klimkin Twitter. He did not disclose any details.

Earlier, the Ukrainian foreign Ministry repeatedly advised citizens to leave Libya, citing the existence of serious threats to their life and health in connection with the proliferation of armed clashes between government and anti-government formations over almost the entire territory of this country, as well as intensification of activities of terrorist groups.
20 March 2015, the staff of the Embassy of Ukraine in Libya was relocated to the territory of Tunisia, due to the critical deterioration of the situation in the country.
