Crimean authorities have called the cause of the outage on the Peninsula

The electricity supply in Crimea partially terminated due to the break of wire on the Central highway near Simferopol. About it reports “RIA Novosti” with reference to the first Vice-Premier of the government of the Republic of Mihaela Sheremet.

“Rush leads the Central highway was in the area of the Brick factory of Simferopol, the technical situation was. Electricity is restored. The power supply is restored. It’s OK,” he said.

As said the head of the Russian Ministry of energy Alexander Novak, the disconnection occurred “between the Cafe and Simferopol substation, the West substation Cafe”.

The supply of the Crimea is already fully recovered, said earlier Novak. He stressed that the outage lasted only 26 minutes.

“The majority of customers restored work. Analysis of the causes triggering the automation continues. Unfortunately, such situations are not excluded under repairs. The important thing is that in a short time was restored,” said Novak.

According to him, the disabling is not associated with the work of the power bridge from Russia, and “no emergency situation [on the Peninsula] was not observed”. Because of the accident, said Novak, of the Crimean energy system has dropped 500 MW, while consumption for the whole of the Crimean Federal district was about 700 MW. “The situation will be promptly investigated, and appropriate action taken to restore power supply,” said Novak.
