The leader of the Afghan movement “Taliban” (banned in Russia) Akhtar Mansur was killed in the air strike USA. This information confirmed to the Associated Press, a senior Taliban leader Mullah Abdul Rauf.

According to the interlocutor of the Agency, Mansour was killed in the drone strike in the night from Friday to Saturday. He said that it happened in the area on the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Information about the death of Mansour also commented on the Afghan government. “Last night American officials had informed the Afghan government [about drone strikes], and, most likely, [Mansour] was killed. We will inform when we get more data,” said Afghan Prime Minister, Abdullah Abdullah.
