He stressed that the mission should not be soldiers, therefore, according to him, the question arises, “how will they use these weapons”. There are other issues, said Peskov, assuming that “discussions will continue”.

A telephone conversation between the leaders of Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine took place in the night of Tuesday, may 24. The press service of the Kremlin at the end of the conversation he said that one of the topics discussed was the question of increase of efficiency of activities in the conflict zone in the Donbass special monitoring mission of the OSCE by giving it additional powers”. Journalists asked to clarify where in the Minsk agreements is a condition to which Sands replied: “Well somebody should do it. Unfortunately, the Ukrainian side, Kyiv, still avoids and rejects contact with representatives of these areas, and to abstract from the views of these representatives is simply impossible. Therefore, this task takes on Russia”.

According to Peskov, the international mission must monitor compliance with the ceasefire regime on the demarcation line. Now the question of violations of the ceasefire regime in the Donbas is “very serious,” said press Secretary of the President.
