Central Bank saw risks to the Deposit insurance system in banks 77

Risks to the Deposit insurance system currently represent 77 Russian banks. This was stated by the Chairman of the Central Bank Mikhail Sukhov, the TV channel “Russia 24”.

“Limitations of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation is a state Bank, during which the controller tries to use all the features with the current owners and managers of the Bank. At the same time we are trying to remove the risk from the Deposit insurance system. Now in this state, there are 77 banks, 72-m of them, we restricted the scope of raising funds from the population, five — level interest rates,” he said (quoted by “Interfax”).

The Chairman of the regulator noted that eight banks are prohibited to attract deposits from the public, stressing that in this case “the situation more difficult.”

Sukhov also said that the Central Bank in case of need, the ASV will provide additional funds for payments to depositors of the banks deprived of licenses. “We do not have any constraints in lending to the Agency for Deposit insurance payouts to depositors. The Agency is now we have 358 billion rubles, will receive as much as is necessary”, — he stressed.

The head of the Agency on insurance of contributions (ASV), Yury Isaev meanwhile, the TV channel “Russia 24″ on Wednesday warned about the risks of conscious opening of deposits in banks-the trash”. “If you as an investor have money in “trash”, we then have to work together to find the money for a long time. We, most likely, will find, but in some cases it will take time. And if there are signs of “drawing”, we jointly with the interior Ministry will try to complete the program of these people involved,” he said (quoted by TASS).

According to Isayev, the number of banks with revoked license fixed distortion data of the register of depositors. “Miko-Bank, Stella-Bank, Grossinvestment and a number of other banks. We see in them the distortion of accounting. It is almost the destruction of databases, numerous falsification”, — said the head of the DIA.

Earlier in may, Sukhov said that in three years the Central Bank has revoked the licenses of 250 banks, of which 39 are in this year. According to the Deputy Chairman of the regulator, lack of assets over liabilities in all banks “exceeded one trillion rubles,” and those who have a revoked license in 2016, up to 360 billion rubles.
