He also stated that convicted prisoners do not have to plead guilty to filing the petition, “for the filing of the petition is sufficient sentence, which entered into force”, said Rybin.
The lawyer reminded that the same procedure is now in Russia against Hope Savchenko. “It mirrored the procedure. The evening will be a clear outcome of the exchange [Yerofeyev and Alexander Savchenko],” said the lawyer.
Yesterday the lawyer Erofeev Oksana Sokolovsky said that the convicts and their lawyers will not ask Ukrainian President to pardon because they consider the sentence illegal. However, the lawyer clarified that the appeal can and other persons – relatives, as well as Parliament Commissioner for human rights.
Earlier, Poroshenko said about the readiness to sign the petition for clemency and Erofeeva Alexandrov. He also noted that he was ready to use any constitutional authority to repatriate Hope Savchenko.
Erofeeva and Aleksandrov was detained in may 2015 in Luhansk oblasti. The next day, the Russian defense Ministry explained that they are former voennkomat, and on the territory of Ukraine they went, already retired from the armed forces.
In April 2016 Erofeev and Alexandria were recognized as the Goloseevsky court of Kiev found guilty of conducting terrorist activities on the territory of Ukraine. They were both sentenced to 14 years imprisonment.
