“Indeed, in such instruments as credit cards, do not need no need. The first elements will start to implement next year. We have this year trial operation, and next year will start commercial operation,” — said Gref (quoted by “RIA Novosti”).

“Technology, in which we, in particular, investing, technologies such as image recognition, voice recognition, allow to come to what we can recognize through remote channels,” — said Gref.
Earlier this week, in an interview with “Izvestia” Gref said that Sberbank is working on the introduction of new identification technologies that will enable in the near future to abandon the plastic cards, as banking will change “dramatically”.
Gref said that the main objective of plastic cards — identification of the personality, therefore, with the introduction of new technologies recognition of customers by biometrics card as such leave in the past.
According to Gref, abroad such technologies will work only in the network of Sberbank. “I think that gradually there will leave a card, but it’s not the prospect of the next five years,” Gref explained.
