Putin explained pragmatic foreign interest in the St. Petersburg forum

As reported by “Interfax”, in an interview to the leading program “Vesti on Saturday” the Russian head of state said that a large demand of foreign partners to the SPIEF is a reflection of the parties ‘ interest in mutual cooperation with Russia.

“There is a desire not to lose what has been achieved over the previous years, to go further. All interested in this. Everyone can see that we also want and create conditions for this. I think the reason is purely pragmatic in nature”, — said Putin.

According to the Agency, this fragment of the interview of Vladimir Putin, was recorded in April, but aired for the first time on June 11.

On 1 June Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Prikhodko stated that in the St. Petersburg international economic forum will attend, including UN Secretary-General ban Ki-moon, later confirmed his arrival.

Also in international economic forum should take part, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, Prime Minister of Italy Matteo Renzi, the Vice-Chancellor of Austria Reinhold Mitterlehner and the President of Guinea alpha Conde.

Forum 2016 will be held June 16-18 in Congress-exhibition center “Expoforum”.
