The Federal security service together with the interior Ministry stopped activity of the group that recruited militants “Islamic state” (banned in Russia). This was reported in the Center of public relations of FSB, reports “Interfax”.
The FSB said that we are talking about the cells of the Internet community “Rahnama BA sui dawlati Islami” (translated from Tajik “guide to the Islamic state”), the purpose of which was the propaganda of the terrorist ideology and the recruitment of fighters in ISIS, and the collection of funds for terrorist financing.
According to intelligence, the community consists of more than 100 thousand members from among the natives of Central Asia, and coordinate its dozens of moderators in Russia, the Middle East and North Africa. Members of the group use to communicate on the Internet software for encryption and anonymization of the data added in the center.
The Ministry reported that the attackers acted on the territory of Sverdlovsk, Tyumen and Chelyabinsk regions. In the investigation of cases in these regions was conducted 27 searches during which were seized computers, mobile phones containing promotional videos, extremist literature and a credit card. Also the members of the “Romano” was discovered weapons: three pistols, four grenades, about 500 grams of plastic explosives, five trotyl blocks with a total mass of 1 kg and electric detonators to them.
