German Chancellor Angela Merkel has invited the heads of major German companies to participate in the summit in mid-September. At this meeting, the Chancellor will encourage the market leaders to employ more refugees to integrate them into the German economy, according to Bild.
According to the publication, during the summit, companies such as Siemens, Evonik, Renault, Volkswagen and RWE will present Merkel the results of the pilot projects on employment of refugees. These companies are involved in the program Wir zusammen (“together”).
As reported earlier by Bloomberg, have joined the program about 100 companies that have taken the training 1,800 refugees arrived in Germany.
As reported by the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung in early July, the 30 leading German companies from the top list of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, hired a total of 54 refugee, with 50 of them have a job Deutsche Post.
