The removal of female athletes Darya Kishineu from participation in the Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro can become the latest “provocation” against Russian athletes, TASS said the Minister of sport Vitaly Mutko.
“I can say that this may not be the last provocation [against Russian athletes]. No words, because they made it, insisted that this admission, and her own said, the international Olympic Committee confirmed this tolerance. This is some provocative moments that are done intentionally. Now the goal is Russian sports, everything else is pushed aside, and it is supported and information”, — he said.
On the eve of the international associations of athletics federations (IAAF) changed its decision on the admission Daria Kishineu to the Olympics. The decision was made “based on new information,” explained the IAAF.
The athlete filed a lawsuit in the court of arbitration for Sport. Her lawyer Paul green said that the matter will be considered at 17:00 GMT Sunday, August 14.
The head of the Russian Olympic Committee Alexander Zhukov, commenting on the decision of the IAAF, said that the situation looks “like a cynical mockery of the athlete”. The same opinion was expressed by the Chairman of the Committee for physical culture, sport and youth Affairs of the State Duma Dmitry Svishchev.
Klishina was the only Russian athlete participating in the Olympics. It was in compliance with the criteria defined by the IAAF, in particular, she lives and trains outside of Russia.
