Unit logistics (MTO) initiated the development of practical action to ensure that troops on sea and land polygons in the Crimea. On Friday, the Deputy Russian defense Minister army General Dmitry Bulgakov, reports TASS.
The Deputy head of the defense Ministry told that the sea vessels of the auxiliary fleet of the black sea fleet rehearsed to ensure the groups of warships and submarines. In particular, we are talking about the task of towing the ship in distress, the fire on the warship, the electromagnetic processing of ships, the restoration of technical readiness of ships at sea, said Bulgakov.
According to him, the activities involved the court demagnetizing, floating repair shops, tankers of various class to refuel at sea and transports of weapons, ships delivering the missiles, torpedoes and mines, and other support vessels.
At the Crimean training ground Opuk MTO brigade of the southern military district fulfills practical action for the full logistical support of land forces and provides amphibious landing, said Bulgakov. According to him, within the framework of military maneuvers work out the issues of technical equipment, evacuation equipment from the battlefield, transportation of large quantity of military equipment and material resources, issues of metrological assurance, bulk fueling equipment and aircraft with the use of modern field warehouse of fuel SSP-600, which receives various types of fuel from the tanker.
Thursday, August 18, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that there is a possibility of an escalation of the conflict in the Donbass and the possibility of a full-scale invasion of the Russian military. “The probability of escalation remains significant. Full-scale Russian invasion in all directions, we absolutely do not exclude”, he said, noting that Ukrainian army is ready to “give back.” The Russian foreign Ministry stated that it did not understand what he is talking about Poroshenko.
Doctrine for logistics support of troops started on the 15 of August on the territory of the southern military district in anticipation of the strategic command and staff exercises “Caucasus-2016”. In them take part more than 2,5 thousand soldiers, the exercises will finish on 20 August at the site Opuk in the Crimea, said TASS.
