“Ukroboronprom” instructed to create a not inferior to Russian weapons

The Ukrainian enterprises of the defense complex needs to regain the lost positions on the world market of arms and military equipment, said the Secretary of Council of national security and defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov. For this, according to him, the state concern “Ukroboronprom” it is necessary to create a weapon, no worse than what they do in Russia.

“Today the task of the state is to create modern high-quality weapons and military equipment, which are not inferior to the Russian counterparts,” — said Turchinov during his visit to Kyiv armored plant, which was held to mark the fifth anniversary of the creation of the state concern “Ukroboronprom” presentation of the latest models of weapons of Ukrainian development (quoted by TASS).

Last week attending the test missile system Ukrainian production Turchinov noted the superiority of Ukrainian over Russian missiles. “Unlike their Russian counterparts, Ukrainian rocket — driven, and therefore more efficiently and accurately hit targets, which was proved during the tests,” he said.

Now for the presentation of products “Ukroboronprom” Turchinov, who was accompanied by the Minister of defence of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak and chief of staff Viktor Muzhenko, presented to NATO standards 60-mm mortar, made of Ukrainian components aircraft missiles R-27, designed to engage ground and air targets with the armored personnel carrier “Dozor-B” combat module “Viy”, the flying model developed by the group of shock drone “Turtledove” and a remote-controlled armored “Phantom”.

In the message “Ukroboronprom” noted that developed by the specialists of Antonov company “Dove” should be the first in the history of Ukrainian defense drone capable of carrying weapons of the enemy, and managed via a secure radio channel or via a fiber cable length of 5 km “Phantom” will be able to evacuate the wounded from the battlefield, to bring soldiers and ammunition to fire.

“Ukroboronprom” is ready to provide our army unmanned high-tech equipment. We are constantly developing new weapons and equipment and implement these developments in the life”, — said General Director of “Ukroboronprom” Roman Romanov. Turchynov expressed hope that the Verkhovna Rada after returning from vacation to pass a law on confiscation of illegally acquired assets of former Ukrainian officials, the withdrawal of which should help solve the funding problems of the defense industry.

“I hope that I will hear the people’s deputies that as soon as I return to the session hall, the first question will vote a law that you can vote now for the past year”, — Turchynov said (quoted by “Interfax”).

Earlier it was reported that the adoption of the law on special confiscation will allow to replenish the budget of 50 billion hryvnia, which can be directed on financing of the defensive order. “If that happens, we will insist that the state defense order was doubled next year,” — said in early August, Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on national security and defence Ivan Vinnik.

In June 2014, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko forbade the defense enterprises to cooperate with companies from Russia.

In early 2016, the Deputy head of “Ukroboronprom Yuriy Pashchenko assured that the Ukrainian defense industry does not deliver to Russia “no nuts”. “We do not supply engines for military ships, not supply parts and assemblies required for the rocket… It is a very painful loss for the Russian defense industry”, — he said.

Earlier the President of Russia Vladimir Putin said that the gap established contacts with the Russian enterprises of the military-industrial complex will be for the Ukrainian defense disaster. “Russia for financial reasons, and technological level to implement import substitution. And it will not require a revision of the state defense order. We will survive and move on, and our partners can not. Because other market they have. It is not there,” — said in 2014, Putin.
