A Ukrainian court has issued a warrant for the arrest Shoigu


The Pechersky district court of Kiev issued a warrant for the arrest of the Minister of defence of Russia Sergey Shoigu, said the court’s decision. It was issued on August 26.

According to the decision, it must be delivered to the court no later than 36 hours from the moment of detention”. The judgement of the court is valid till 26 Feb 2017 or until it has been revoked by the Prosecutor. The court’s decision is “not appealable,” reads the decision.

Earlier, the Prosecutor General’s office of Ukraine informed Sergei Shoigu and 17 Russian officials that they are suspected of crimes against national security of Ukraine. They were “it is reported about suspicion in Commission of serious crimes against the foundations of Ukraine’s national security, public safety, peace and international law”, said earlier the head of the Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko.
