The Minister of economic development Alexei Ulyukayev disagreed with the scenario of the Ministry of Finance, allowing the price of oil in 2017 in the amount of $30, reports TASS.
“It’s not the Finance Ministry forecast, this forecast is one of the employees of the Ministry of Finance, which has some authority to the statements. Don’t agree with $30, I do not agree,” — said Ulyukayev.
That the Ministry of Finance in a stress scenario predicts oil at $30, 14 September, said Deputy head of the Ministry Maxim Oreshkin. “If true negative predictions on the dynamics of the world economy and the oil market will not be anything good. Once again there will be revised forecasts for demand. Stress scenario that we see here, what you need to prepare is about $30 per barrel for the next few years,” he said.
Oreshkin also urged not to rejoice in the current oil prices. “As soon as we see the correction in other markets, it will affect the oil market, especially considering that fundamentally, the oil market is still a lot of problems,” — said the official.
The Ministry of economic development there are two main variant of the forecast for oil prices in the next three years. The baseline assumes that the price per barrel will be $40 for all three years. According to the forecast “basic plus” in 2017, oil will cost $50, and in 2018-2019 — $55.
